Since 1994, Kristallen has been a study center for Gem-A, the Gemmological Association of Great
Britain, and you can take their internationally renowned FGA and DGA courses with us.

In 2003, the first round of the Gemstone Technology Program was launched. This was a broad
university education in the gemstone and jewellery world, organised by Luleå University of
Technology and located at Kristallen.

For many years, we have cooperated with Hantverkslärling in Leksand and accept apprentices in the
gemstone cutting profession, duodji (sami handicraft)and goldsmithing.

In May 2018, a new collaboration started between Kristallen and Malmfältens Högskola. With them we teach a basic training in stone processing, metal processing and gemmology.
