In 2023 we celebrated 40 years of goldpanning competitions in Lannavaara. Every summer gather passioned happy goldpanners from several countries for a week-end of competition, part of the Swedish Championship and of the Goldpanning World Cup.
With us you can also learn how to pan for gold! Book a time with one of our instructors to learn the basic technique then go by yourself in nature to look for gold. You get a bag of sand with guaranteed 5 goldflakes in and get to practice in our competition pools until you feel confident to go search in nature. There is a camp about 1,5 km away from Kristallen where you can make your own fire, make coffee or grill some sausages and take all the time you want.

What is included: a bag of sand with gold in it, borrowing of the gold pan, the tube to collect the gold, the guide who stays with you at the training pool.
You want to bring outdoor/rain wear and rubber boots. We have some boots you can borrow but not in all sizes, or you can go barefoot in the pool.
